Valentines' DAYYYYYYYY

Hey so as you guys know, next WEEK is Valentine's Day! I have finally got my camera up and running, it just doesn't really take good pics. I have to find out how to get it on here. But.... yeah. What can I do? But here is my first DIY pencil. Easy PAPERMATE mechanical washi pencils. LOVE LOVE LOVE! If you don't know what they are, just wait for the sucky description.

LET'S DO IT!

1. Gather your supplies.
-scissors (not pictured) -washi tape or deco tape -PaperMate Mechanical Pencils (the one that looks like a real pencil

2. Guess-timate about 1" of washi tape or deco tape or even less.

3. Wrap it around the pencil. If your tape is wide, you probably only need to do this once. If your tape is one of the normal ones, you probably need two pieces. If you're using metallic nail striping tape... Why bother?

4. Skip this step if your tape is wide. "Measure" your tape to be about the current piece and wrap another piece around it.

5. Seal with mod podge or let it be and ENJOY YOUR PRETTY, USEFUL PENCIL!

DIY Twine Braided Headband/wrap

Hey.... sorry I haven't been on in a while! But all that matters is that I'm back with a surprisingly stylish DIY. A DIY Twine Braided Headband/Wrap. Grab your twine and tape `cause we're starting this DIY.

So, first, tie three long strands of twine. You don't have to measure, just make it really long. Mine was roughly 2-3 ft. Tape the strands together and tape it onto your desk. Start braiding until you reach the end.

Okay, so tape the ends together.Wrap the braid around your head. Pinch the spot where it feels like a mix of loose and tight.

Mark the spot with a Sharpie. Easy so far, right? Now, tape the ends together with washi tape to give it a good look and stop at the Sharpie mark. Snip off the leftover strands and there you go, a new headband/wrap. It'll give you the look of a hippie hairstyle, without the confusion, hair-braiding and bringing over, and don't forget, it takes much less time.

`Til next time,
Cassie <3

Funtastic Fridays

Hey and welcome to the first installment of FUNTASTIC FRIDAYS! Today I'll be showing you how to take your favorite lotion on the go, the DIY way. You know when you're going on a trip and you want to bring that favorite scent of yours? Well, grab a bottle and stop paying for the travel size of that aromatic lotion of yours. So lets get started!

Grab a bottle or an old hand cream bottle. I like to use a bottle because the opening is larger.

Next, grab your lotion and just start squeezing some into the bottle.

Done!

That was easy, right? Tune in next time for another installment of FUNTASTIC Fridays!

DIY Washi Tape

This is not even CLOSE to real Washi Tape, but you can still use it as a lower-cost alternative! :) So all you need for this project are Sharpies in ANY color you wish, scissors, and a roll (not with dispenser) of Scotch Tape.

We're only going to make a part of the roll so if you want to get another pattern, use your current pattern and redraw on the empty surface.

This is how you do it:

1st: Gather supplies.
2nd: Find the place where you can pull the tape. Start from there.
3rd: Start drawing the design for however length you want.
4th: Use and reuse!

Sorry this was a short one, but of course... I don't know how to work my camera yet. It's soooooo confusing. Hope this helps with some people out there with their Washi Tape and Money crisis! :)

Hugs & Kisses,
Cassie

Welcome!!! My Obssesion With Washi Tape

Hey guys, I'm Cassie and this is my first blog dedicated to easy DIY projects not so hard to accomplish. I mean, even I can complete these and I'm one of the laziest people you will ever meet... err.... Read about. Today I was making origami boxes and a blog sprang to mind. I can share my simple creations with the world, post hauls of my supplies and my favorite, washi tape, and get the opportunity to make THIS into a hobby and also DIY-making, which is my current hobby.

Today I have nothing to teach you guys but I will tell you about my pending orders. I ordered six washi tape related items from the Pretty Tape shop on Etsy. Pretty Tape has soooo many tapes to choose from and stickers and boxes and pretty packaging, I even got a sticker that says "homemade" on it in a typewriter font. I don't know what I'll do with the tape, but I got a few ideas in mind, thanks to an app that's perfect for me on my phone called "craftgawker". They are sooo creative there, and I could never think of those, wellll except for that book cover project. That will be the first project I'll do... I hope, if I get it by Wednesday. Did I mention I LOVE washi tape? Aka deco tape? I want to make that book cover!

Another project I hope to do is the candle-making thing I am doing with my cousin. We're going to make a pink Vanilla candle in a jar and I hope that will smell de-li-cious. We're getting chalkboard paint, too so we can write whatever we want to on the front.

I guess this was a fairly long Welcoming post but.... I have a LOT on my plate that I'm going to do. And trust me, I'll be doing all of them and using them forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever (this is creepy) and ever and ever and ever and ever (bye) and ever and ever and ever.....
